Devin vs. Religion
It’s not that I don’t believe in god or anything. Like sure big man in the sky or whatever. It all sounds like stories to me, I’ve never found any real data.
But that’s the same with most religions. Substantially all of it is based on faith, weather or not you have faith in what you believe. I guess that is what’s real about a god.
I do sometimes feel that a couple of buddies went out drinking to write a book. At the same time as some people follow a religion because they want to, but then there are a lot of people who force their children to believe what they are told. And that’s what I find wrong about people influencing religion.
I do like to pretend that god is a black, left-handed guitarist, but that’s just me and people with good taste in music.
The ideology that makes the most sense to me is what the fourth way school is thought is.
What George Gurdjieff has to say sort of sounds like a play on the Matrix with a Buddhist and Monk teaching behind it. It actually makes sense though.
” when this work is finished, that is to say, when the aim set before it has been accomplished, the fourth way disappears, that is, disappears in it’s given form, continuing perhaps in another place in another form. Schools of the fourth way exist for the needs of the work which is being carried out in connection with the proposed under taking. They never exist by themselves as schools for the purpose of education and instruction.”
The Fourth Way addresses the question of people’s place in the Universe, their possibilities of inner development, and emphasized that people ordinarily live in a state referred as “waking sleep”, while higher levels of beings are possible.
What this guy has to say makes a lot more sense then most religions.
